I hope I am posting a couple more. Now that I have succeeded with that, thanks to help from Murry, let me explain that I have taken rather close-up shots to screen out all the piles of stuff waiting to be carried out, used, clean up, or planted. I believe I've given you the best of all possible views.

  1. Louise,
They are lovely! Nick and I have been doing yard work all morning - weeding, spreading new mulch, hosing down the sidewalks and front porch. We look like a Southern Living Magazine shoot in an off month. I guess I'll have to figure out my own camera to computer transfer now that you've figured it out.

  2. Thanks to both of you. I've discovered the beauties of the close up. i didn't completely screen out the pile of twigs from the tree that has recently been taken down in the front. There are two piles like that, and the larger pieces of trunk which have been split for the fireplace are still piled up out in the front yard as well. In the back, we still have a packed mud side yard and right now it has a huge hole with the remainder of the quince bush in the middle of it. This hired guy from next door has worked on it for about six hours and still doesn't have the damned thing out, and we have also the requisite two pallets of stone out in the back. However, if the photo is taken at a close range you don't see anything but the pretty parts. I'm practicing doing that on a daily basis.

This morning I started on a part of the border thinning it out. There's so much of everything that it's just a big bushy mass of verdure. The garden projects go on.
